As a young boy I was inspired by my father, Larry Redmond Jr. who instilled a passion in me for the automotive industry which led to my education after high school at the Universal Technical Institute in Houston, Texas. After graduating from UTI in the spring of 2005, I continued my education after being accepted into the Ford Fact program. This allowed me to begin my career specializing in Diesel repair.
Coys Diesel was started in my spare time while I was working as a certified technician in a local dealership. After being voted Employee of the year in 2008, I realized the service I provided customers at my own shop was a solution that the dealership wasn’t able to provide based upon there guide lines.
So in the summer of 2009 I decided to I go out on my own. That decision led to an almost immediate need to upgrade and I set out to find a shop that could suit my needs to perform repairs and performance. After searching for sometime we discovered a shop in Gonzales off of hwy 621 and 44. We called this location our home for three years in this time we had many struggles between keeping good hands and over coming growing pains. In November of 2014 we moved into our new state of art facility off airline highway in Gonzales. we now have the capability to provide service on all light and medium trucks with the knowledge of certified technicians that have the experience to fix some of the hardest concerns. We have a great team and are very blessed and happy to serve south Louisiana and surrounding areas.
